The Gsharp Professional Edition, Gsharp, is an interactive data visualization tool which helps you create, automate, and publish graphs. Gsharp can be operated both through its interactive GUI using point and click operations, and it can be programmed using the Gsharp Script Language - GSL. More information is available on the product datasheet.
The Gsharp Application Seat is an engine for processing GSL scripts. With Gsharp 3.0 it is now possible to use GSL to create GUI objects such as menus, toolbars and dialogs. In a fraction of the time it would have taken to program, a real graphical application can be put together in GSL. You decide the menu structure, the graph styles and the interaction - Gsharp Application Seat provides the rest. The Gsharp Application Seat is available for UNIX, VMS and Windows. With Gsharp you can easily read, manipulate and present your data either interactively or using GSL. Once you have finished you can turn your work into a GSL template at the touch of a button. GSL templates can be used to present your data on the World Wide Web using the Gsharp Web Edition or can be plugged into your own application using the Gsharp Application Seat.
The downloaded Gsharp Web Edition includes only the GsharpWE program and examples. With GsharpWE installed on your own web server, you can run all of the graph templates and interactive examples which are provided, and try out techniques such as graph-on-demand, information drill down, and java interactivity.
Gsharp is not freeware. The Gsharp Web Edition is intended for evaluation purposes only. For production work, you will also need the Gsharp Professional Edition, which is used to interactively layout graph templates and generate reusable GSL. The Gsharp Professional Edition is seperately distributed on CD-ROM together with documentation. If you are interested in evaluating the Gsharp Professional Edition, you can request an evaluation kit.
