The IAC maintains two public domain repositories for both AVS5 modules and AVS/Express projects. The repositories contain freely downloadable code for these packages which has either been submitted by users from around the globe, or developed by the IAC and AVS. The AVS5 repository now contains over 800 modules, and the AVS/Express repository is continually growing. In addition to developing new modules, the IAC is also actively porting popular AVS5 modules to the AVS/Express package - a Questionnaire is available for requests to be made. The IAC also carries out research projects on behalf of AVS, and information can be currently found under Latest News about the AVS/Expresss Multi-Pipe Edition.
The repositories contain a number of modules and projects, covering a number of disciplines, and are organized into logical categories such as Data Input/Output, Filters, Mappers and other Miscellaneous items. Additionally a category is reserved for special projects that might be of interest to a number of users. AVS/Express Projects The AVS/Express package uses many high-level components, and not just low-level modules. As such the repository contains collections of objects (modules, macros, user interface macros and example applications) known as Projects. One project therefore may contain a number of modules and macros on a related theme that may be of use to the user. Currently the AVS/Express repository contains 216 individual projects, which comprises a total of:
Guidelines are available, explaining how to 1) download AVS5 modules and AVS/Express projects and integrate them within your system, and 2) submit your own work to the IAC so that it may be added to the repositories and made available to the AVS community. Follow the links here, or select the Download button or the Submit button at the top of this page in the navigation bar. Downloading from the repositories couldn't be easier: simply gain access to the repositories by following the links here or selecting AVS5 button, or the AVS/Express button at the top of this page in the navigation bar. All the modules and projects contained therein are freely available, however we do request that users of the repository join the IAC User Group mailing list, so that they may receive information about future developments from the IAC. This page or any of the pages detailed here can be found at any time under the navigation bar heading Repositories. | |||||||
